Creating a Gmail

To achieve this, you will first need an internet enabled phone. If you already have an internet enabled phone, then the next is to go to Google in your phone settings and create a Gmail account from there. That's all. 

In essence, signing up via your phone google in your phone settings allows you to skip phone number verification because your phone itself is already a means of identity.

Simply put, if you have a new phone or an existing one and you want to create a new Gmail account, Google can allow create the account with mandating you to provide your phone number. That does not mean that you will not provide your phone number in the future but since you a signing up from a phone, you can temporary skip the phone number part of the registration. The skipped phone number will be requested of you as you continue to use the Gmail.
