How to Gain Your First 1,000 Subscribers as a New YouTuber

Want to learn how to get your first 1,000 subscribers as a new YouTuber? If yes, then you need to read through this article from start to finish to get an insight on how to make that happen.

Growing your YouTube channel is no easy task, but it’s not impossible, either. As someone who has built my own YouTube channel from scratch and grown it to over 1,000 subscribers in only 2 months, I know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to growing your audience on YouTube. I also know that some of the most important things are rarely talked about! So I created this guide to help new YouTubers get their first 1,000 subscribers as quickly as possible.

The 8 Things To Do Before Starting A Youtube Channel

1. Determine what type of channel you want. Do you want it to be an informational channel, a comedy channel, or something else?

2. Think of your audience and what they might want from your content. The more clear you are about this the easier it will be for you to produce videos that resonate with them.

3. Write out a list of topics that you would like to cover in your video series and narrow down the topics by choosing one per video.

4. Once you have narrowed down your topic choose what aspect of the topic will be covered in each video- whether it is the general overview, how-to's, Q&A sessions, etc.

5. Write a script that covers all these aspects and keeps viewers interested at all times.

6. Practice recording yourself before filming an entire video to make sure everything is smooth and there are no bumps along the way (e.g., ummm, uhhh, so basically..etc.)

7. Get your channel banner, watermark, logo and email address ready (contact me if you need help)

8. Before getting the number 7 above ready, Search on YouTube to know if the youtube channel name you have in mind is free and not already taken. This will make your channel unique and will allow only your channel to come up when searched on youtube.

Other things you need to do when you finally start your YouTube Channel

1. Use specific keywords in your titles, descriptions, and tags when uploading to YouTube. These words should reflect what is being talked about within the video and can often help other channels find yours on YouTube

2. Consistency is key! Even if you upload just one video a week or two it’s important that people can see your progress over time.

3. Don't give up! Persistence pays off.

4. Get creative with advertising - consider placing ads outside of YouTube (e.g., Twitter, Facebook)

4. Try making friends with other channels and cross promoting

5. Create interesting thumbnails.

6. If you see a wow video on YouTube, try commenting on them. This will in turn help more people to discover your own channel as some of the viewers will like to check your channel out.

7. Tag your youtube channel properly. You can do this in your youtube studio advanced settings (can help you if you need my help here)

Remember: To get 1000 subscribers, you need 1000 views; which is equivalent to 1000 people watching your video and possibly clicking on your Channel subscribe button.

Note: Youtube success takes time! It’s not uncommon for new channels to struggle during their first few months but don't give up. The tips here will help your youtube channel to sky rocket faster.

The 3 Types of Videos That Can Get You 1,000 Subs in No Time

The Four most effective types of videos you can use to gain your first thousand subscribers are:
1. Tutorials - These types of videos give viewers the chance to learn something new from you and may inspire them to subscribe if they find what you're teaching valuable. Tutorials are also great for building up your expertise as an industry leader in your niche. If people see that you know what you're talking about, it's likely that they'll subscribe to hear more from you!
2. Q&A Videos - When creating these videos, think about all the questions your audience might have on this topic and answer every single one. That way there's nothing left unanswered!
3. Video Series - Video series allow people to view multiple episodes before deciding whether or not they want to subscribe.

4. Shorts: Short videos helps you gain subscribers faster. I was able t gain more than 1500 subscribers in less than 1 month with youtube shorts alone. If you don't know the kind of shorts to post to gain free views and subscribers, just check my channel @GHEN TECH, enter my short videos, see the videos that gained most views and make your own video on them. Need help on the trending shorts as at time of reading this article? comment on this post and i will help you through.

Note: To grow with youtube shorts you need to post more often. Short videos are less stressful to make and upload on youtube.

The Complete Newbie Guide To Producing Video Content

Here's a quick guide to producing video content that will get you your first 1,000 subscribers.
-Know your audience. The most important thing for any new video creator is knowing their audience and what they want to watch. It doesn't matter how good of an idea you have if nobody wants to watch it! Find out who watches YouTube channels similar to yours by doing some research or asking friends/family what they would like to see from you. Once you know who the target demographic is, figure out where they hang out on the internet-Facebook? Instagram? Twitter?-and start building up your following there before jumping into making videos for them on YouTube.
-Practice! Like with anything in life, practice makes perfect!

Getting The Most Out Of Your Videos

It's important to make sure that you're getting the most out of your videos in order to get more subscribers. Here are some helpful tips for you:
- Make sure that your videos are at least 3 minutes long.
- Make your thumbnail interesting and descriptive of the video.
- Include keywords about the video in the title and description.
- Use subtitles or captions so viewers can read along with you. People want to know what you're saying!
- Create clickable links within your video that point back to your channel, social media, other content, etc. When people see something they like on YouTube, they often click through to learn more about it.
- Put the YouTube logo next to any external link in your video (e.g., Patreon) so it appears as sponsored content and gives them an easy way to subscribe if they like what they see on the linked page.
